Ciné Club - Belle de Jour by Luis Buñel

CINE CLUB
Belle de jour de Luis Buñel

Thursday 27 May - 7.30pm
French version
with French subtitles, 100 min.

Catherine Deneuve plays a woman who decides to spend her days as a prostitute while her husband is at work. As mysterious, poetic, and provoking as every Luis Buñuel's films, Belle de Jour is certainly the masterpiece of surrealist cinema. His meditation on reality, society, fantasy and sexuality still remains both alluring and shocking decades after it was made (1967).
