The IFI is delighted to present, a preview of Gainsbourg, Joann Sfar's fascinating biopic of the legendary musician Serge Gainsbourg. An artist, a rebel, a rock star and a lover to many beautiful women, Gainsbourg explores all aspects of a man who would prove to be one of the most influential musicians of all time.

LA FILLE DU RER

In La Fille du RER, veteran French auteur André Téchiné turns in a complex drama which displays all his trademarks of narrative density, insightful character study and a passionate engagement with the complexities of modern French politics and culture.
The cast is uniformly strong, with Catherine Deneuve, Michel Blanc, Emilie Dequenne, Mathieu Demy, Ronit Elkabetz and Nicolas Duchauvelle. The film is inspired by Jean-Marie Besset’s play RER (2006).
