Writing Competition prizes!

Calling all writers!

I am sure you have already started to think about your future Short story and poem!
There will be two winners of this competition, one Irish - who will receive a free French course, of his/her choice, at the Alliance Francaise and one French - who will be able to choose from a wide range of creative writing courses at the Irish writers’ Center.

  1. It's a pity that only French or Irish people can participate. I am Brazilian and have a good short story about tango in Paris, in French language.

    Thank you for your comment. I would be delighted to read your short story. I will change this point of rules and everyone able to write in english or french will be invited to take part in this competition.

  4. Hello Julien,

    You can see all rules on the fifth article of the blog. See below all rules:

    -You must write a short story or short poem on the theme of “The City”.
    -You can write in English or in French.
    -Your story or poem must not be in excess of 1000 words, but with at the least 500 words.
    -Send your completed story or poem by email to Business@alliance-francaise.ie or post in on the blog of the Alliance Francaise of Dublin.
    -The closing date for entries is 31st March 2010.
    -All stories will be displayed during the Franco-Irish Literary Festival.

  5. Hello, this competition is a great idea and the prizes well worth the effort. Would the jury consider short stories aimed at children?
